Doggy Day Care Padstow

We recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend staying at St Edmunds House with my parents and our two fur babies, and had booked dinner at The Seafood Restaurant to celebrate a special anniversary. With a two dogs in tow, it was so important for us to have the peace of mind that our girls would be lovingly cared for while we were out.

Janine was recommended to us by the team at Stein’s, which already spoke volumes—but even that glowing recommendation didn’t fully prepare us for just how amazing she would be. I explained that one of our dogs is a rescue and can be quite nervous around new people, while the other is a little more relaxed but still reserved. As slightly overprotective dog parents, leaving them with someone we hadn’t met before felt like a big step.

However Janine immediately put me at ease. Knowing she also has a rescue dog meant she truly understood our concerns. She kindly arranged to meet us and the dogs the day before, and from the moment we met her, I just knew our girls would be in safe and caring hands. It was so clear how much she genuinely loves dogs—she is warm, professional, and so easy to connect with. Both dogs took to her straight away… and so did we!

On the evening of our dinner we were able to head out knowing our girls couldn’t have been better cared for. Being able to fully relax and enjoy our evening—without constantly worrying or checking in—was such a gift. Knowing they were not just looked after, but truly cared for and loved, meant everything.

We wouldn’t hesitate to book Janine again when we return to Padstow, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone. She really is a dog-sitting angel! Thank you, Janine—you’ve opened up a whole new world of possibilities for our future holidays, and we can’t wait to see you again.

Just wanted to let you know how happy we were with everything you did for us yesterday. To me it was a big deal to leave my girls with someone I'd never met before, but as soon as I met you, you put me at ease and of course the girls were very happy with you! I was able to go to my brother's wedding and relax and enjoy it, knowing that you were taking such good care of Billie and Lia. Thank you so very much, I wholeheartedly recommend your service!

A large group of us stayed in Padstow for my fathers 70th, I brought my dog Ralph (Bracco Italiano) and my sister brought her dog Stanley (Labrador). We had a few meals / days out planned where dogs would not be able to attend, so we found Janine’s details online. You could not ask for a more caring, friendly and trustworthy person to look after your dog/s. Janine is a pure dog lover and we were at ease to have her come into our holiday rental to look after Ralph and Stanley whilst we went out during the day/evening. You can tell the dogs enjoyed her company too. We would definitely recommend Janine to anyone that need their dog/s looking after whilst on holiday in Padstow.

"We used Janine’s service on our recent trip to Padstow so that we could dine at No. 6 and also Mahe (neither restaurant allows dogs).  Janine took the time to get to know Arthur and was very calm and in control.  Arthur immediately took to Janine and despite the fact that he spent a little bit of time looking at the door wondering where we had gone, by the time we returned a few hours later, Arthur was found cuddled up next to Janine on the sofa and clearly very happy in her company.  I would have no hesitation in recommending Janine’s service to anyone visiting the Padstow area.  She was very personable, friendly and with a very calm and happy demeanour, and we have booked her already when we return to Padstow later in the year."

Janine was wonderful. We booked her in advance for the day to look after Oreo, communicating, booking and contact was nice and easy and very straightforward.

We had a little emergency when we arrived and found we needed a sitter that evening due to the restaurant not being dog friendly, Janine responded immediately and was able to help out at short notice.

She is a lovely lady, obviously loves dogs and Oreo was happy to be left in her care.

We will definitely be using her for dog sitting again when we’re back in Padstow.
